Open CSA concentrates its intial work on the Service Component Architecture (SCA) and Service Data Objects (SDO) families of specifications. The Member Section supports the process of:

• gathering requirements
• developing specifications
• coordinating the work of its affiliated OASIS Technical Committees
• providing the governance structure to accept and manage funds to serve its work

As standards in this area mature, Open CSA also supports adoption and implementation efforts including development of:

• test cases
• testing procedures
• interoperability testing
• demonstrations
